Surviving the HOTTEST Race of the Season!

It was a seriously hot weekend at Croft Circuit for the 4th Round of the ‪@TheBRSCC‬ Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship. With high temperatures making conditions tough for both the drivers and the cars. Friday was all about testing and getting a feel for the cars change of performance in the scorching temperatures. Saturday morning started with qualifying, where Luke secured P16 on the grid. Before Race 1, Luke and the team at Misty Racing made some setup changes to try and reduce the understeer and improve the car's balance. With the improved setup for Race 1, Luke started 16th on the grid following Qualifying. After the Race was cut short by a red flag due to an incident in the closing laps, Luke finished Race 1 in 14th place. The setup changes gave Luke more confidence, allowing him to move forward through the field and pick up two positions. Starting from 14th in Race 2 following the result in Race 1, Luke made sure to get a good start off the line and held his position through the opening lap. After 9 laps of gruelling racing in the UK summer heatwave, Luke crossed the line in 13th place. Luke pushed hard once again and ended the weekend with another solid performance. Overall, it was a challenging but productive weekend, learning a lot in extremely hot conditions while making steady progress throughout the races.
