Yellow flowers bloom in yellow, blue flowers in blue. Mountain peaks, pine trees, fields, and small wildflowers all live in different places and take different forms, yet none abandons its own light. They do not need to resemble one another to exist in harmony. Remaining true to themselves, together they become one beautiful landscape. Watching them, the woman begins to look back upon her own life. A small white flower blooming between stones becomes an important symbol in the work. Though given little space in which to grow, it continues to bloom with a white smile, never surrendering its own light. Through this small life, the woman begins to listen to the voice within herself—a voice she had often overlooked while paying too much attention to the winds of the world around her. Like a sky clearing after a long rain, a clear smile gradually returns to her face. A white cloud resting upon a mountain peak seems to beckon her forward. Beyond that ridge may lie something she has not yet encountered—hope, a dream, or something greater than her fear. She does not erase or deny the road she has already traveled. She carries it within her and chooses to take another step. The “new morning” in this work is therefore more than the beginning of another day.
