Solatrike II. Corsica + Italy 1. Bastia to Siena

My trip around the world takes an impromptu turn. On this leg of my bike tour, I decide to leave France and take a round-trip through Tuscany in Italy. First, I spend a few days in Bastia, Corsica, to explore the city, and then I board the next ferry to Livorno, Italy. In the 29th country on my tour, I cycle from Livorno to Pisa. I stop near Lucca to spend the night and ride up the steep hills through the fascinating countryside. Completely exhausted, I reach Siena, which I’ll explore in the next video. The Solatrike II is a solar- and muscle-powered recumbent trike that has so far covered 58,000 km across 5 continents and 29 countries on its round-the-world journey. Join me on this leg of the adventure. This film was shot from September 25 to October 1st 2026. Enjoy the daily struggles of this unusual adventure of a solar powered e-assisted recumbent trike trying to ride around the world. One thing is sure: it will continue... Cameras, Cut, Sound, Music and Producer in one is d-t-b (Dave the Beaver, aka David Brandenberger) himself. He's a photographer and not a videographer. The videos are just a by-product. If you're annoyed by the shaky videos, feel free to donate a gimbal to him.
