Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake 🏔️🇮🇳 | Tawang’s Most Incredible Day Trip! This was one of the most unforgettable days of our Tawang journey! 🏔️❄️ From the breathtaking *Madhuri Lake* to the high-altitude **Bumla Pass**, every turn brought a new landscape and a new story. Our first major stop was *Sangetsar Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake* — a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by dramatic Himalayan mountains. The lake sits at around **12,000+ feet (3,700 m) above sea level**, making the scenery feel completely surreal. 🏔️💙 🚕 *Bumla Pass + Madhuri Lake sightseeing:* 💰 *Car cost:* Around ₹5,500 per car 🎟️ *Bumla entry:* ₹100 per person (introduced from September 2025; children below 12 and APST visitors are exempt) Then we continued towards the legendary **Bumla Pass**, located near the India–China border at an altitude of around **15,200 feet**. A special permit is required to visit the pass, and the journey itself is an incredible experience through the high-altitude landscape of Tawang. 🏔️🇮🇳 Along the way, we also visited the **Joginder Singh War Memorial**, dedicated to Subedar Joginder Singh, the Param Vir Chakra recipient who displayed extraordinary courage during the 1962 war.
