Carlos Tevez: Joining Man City Was revenge. The Truth About Leaving Man United

Why did Carlos Tevez REALLY leave Manchester United for Manchester City? Rio Ferdinand reunites with his former teammate to hear his side of the story, from his conversations with Sir Alex Ferguson to the Real Madrid move that could have happened. Carlos explains why he felt let down by the club, calls out old team mates and how his decision to leave was made long before he signed for City. Tevez and Rio revisit playing alongside Rooney and Ronaldo, the understanding that made their front three so dangerous, and why that United team could have won more Champions Leagues. They also discuss Rio’s failed attempt, alongside David Gill, to help keep Carlos at Old Trafford and how it felt to become rivals in Manchester. Carlos gives his account of the Roberto Mancini fallout, reflects on what he would handle differently and relives City’s dramatic title win against QPR - a day that broke Rio’s heart. Plus, Tevez makes his Messi vs Ronaldo choice, explains his love for Paul Scholes and shares memories of Diego Maradona. He looks back on his difficult start at West Ham and picks a five-a-side team packed with legends. In a moving conversation, Carlos opens up about losing his father, the passion he lost before he walked away from football, and how he managed to find happiness in retirement. 00:00 Carlos Tevez Meets Rio Ferdinand 01:40 Catching Up After Manchester United 03:21 Looking Back at United's Greatest Team 04:23 Rooney, Ronaldo and the United Trident 05:28 Tevez's Training Secrets Revealed 07:11 How Ferguson Let the Attackers Play 07:43 Why Wayne Rooney Was Tevez's Best Teammate 09:35 Tevez's Incredible Maradona Story 10:32 Tevez's Difficult Start at West Ham 12:37 How Tevez Joined Manchester United 13:38 The Broken Promise That Changed Everything 15:10 Tevez Reveals Why He Felt Let Down by United 17:05 How Tevez Ended Up at Manchester City 18:48 Why Tevez Really Left Manchester United 19:30 Ferguson, the Bench and the Broken Promise 19:35 Why United Players Hated Seeing Tevez at City 21:27 Tevez Opens Up About Mancini 22:04 The Incident That Led to Tevez's City Fallout 23:29 Tevez's Manchester City Controversy 24:29 The Dramatic 2012 Premier League Title Race 25:37 United or City: Where Did Tevez Enjoy Football More? 26:25 Scholes vs David Silva, Vidic vs Kompany 28:27 Messi vs Ronaldo: Tevez Makes His Choice 29:35 Why Messi Is So Important to Argentina 30:44 Tevez's Special Relationship With Maradona 33:26 Tevez Explains the Argentina-England Rivalry 34:23 What Really Separates Messi and Ronaldo? 35:29 Tevez on Playing With Pirlo, Pogba and Carrick 36:20 Was Pogba at His Best at Juventus? 37:20 Why Manchester United Declined After Ferguson 37:58 Tevez's Emotional Tribute to His Dad 38:40 Rio and Tevez Discuss Losing a Parent 38:53 Why Tevez Lost His Motivation to Play Football 39:54 Why Tevez Is Happy to Have Retired 40:10 Tevez Picks His Ultimate Five-a-Side Team 41:16 The Final Words Between Rio and Tevez 41:30 Tevez's Farewell Match at La Bombonera #CarlosTevez #RioFerdinand #ManchesterUnited #CarlosTevez #RioFerdinand #ManchesterUnited #ManUnited #ManchesterCity #PremierLeague #SirAlexFerguson #WayneRooney #CristianoRonaldo #LionelMessi #PaulScholes #MichaelCarrick #FootballInterview #FootballStories #PremierLeagueLegends #CarlosTevez #RioFerdinand #RioMeets #RioFerdinandPresents #CarlosTevezInterview #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd #ManchesterCity #CristianoRonaldo #WayneRooney #SirAlexFerguson #CarlosTevezManCity #CarlosTevezManUnited #ChampionsLeague2008 #ArgentinaFootball #BocaJuniors #Juventus #CarlosTevezEntrevista #FootballPodcast #ManchesterDerby Subscribe: http://bit.ly/15QO9WE Rio Ferdinand Presents: rioferdinandpresents.com Rio Ferdinand Presents Instagram:   / rioferdinandpresents   Rio Ferdinand Presents Twitter/X: https://x.com/RioMeets Rio Ferdinand Presents Facebook:   / rioferdinandpresents   Rio Ferdinand Presents TikTok:   / rioferdinandpresents   Rio Ferdinand Presents Threads: https://www.threads.net/@rioferdinand...
