The song was inspired by my own memories of summers at the Jersey Shore — days out on the bay, nights under the moonlight, cruising in an old CJ-5, Jersey girls, Coppertone, Martel's Tiki Bar, Jenkinson’s, and those timeless nights when life seemed a whole lot simpler. At the heart of the song is something I think most of us eventually understand: we rarely know we're living through some of the best days of our lives while they're actually happening.
