In this video, we're tackling a very common but tricky problem: "How to remove a gel coat that has sagged and become thin from the mold?"
As I explained in the previous video, gel coat sagging has several causes. But when it happens, peeling off that thin, sticky layer of gel coat from the fiberglass mold is a major challenge in itself! It can tear, it can damage the mold surface, and it can be a real test of your nerves.
In this video, I'll show you step-by-step and in full detail how to remove this gel coat from the mold with minimal damage. I'll cover everything from simple, accessible tools to techniques I've tested myself many times in the workshop.
If you've also faced this problem while spraying gel coat, be sure to watch this video until the end. I've tried to include all the key points.
A quick reminder, friends: If you run into a problem during granite sink production or working with composites that's hard for you to solve, you can send me a short video of your process and the issue on Telegram at [Your Telegram ID]. I'll try to address your problem practically in future videos on the channel.
Thanks as always for being with me and this channel.
Stay happy and successful!
