On this special episode of It’s Not That Serious with Ming & Steph, we sit down with some of the top basketball trainers in Nova Scotia for an open and honest conversation about the current state of the game in our province.
We talk about fair play, governing bodies, trainers trying to create opportunities outside of the traditional system, the struggle to find gym time, the impact of parents — both good and bad — and the roadblocks that make it difficult for people who genuinely want to help young athletes.
But this conversation isn’t just about the problems.
We also talk about solutions.
How do we create more opportunities for young players? How can trainers, coaches, parents, organizations and governing bodies work together instead of against each other? And what needs to change for Nova Scotia basketball to reach its full potential?
At the end of the day, everyone should have the same goal: helping the youth, growing the game and creating better opportunities for the next generation.
Real conversations. Different perspectives. No politics.
