There is power in worship. Worship is more than a song—it is surrender, intimacy, thanksgiving, reverence, and a declaration of who God is in the middle of every circumstance. In this time of worship and prayer with Sandielyn Taylor, we come together to lift our eyes away from our circumstances and place them upon Jesus Christ. Whether we are walking through a valley, facing spiritual resistance, waiting for breakthrough, or celebrating God's faithfulness, our response remains the same: We will worship. Worship Is Our Battle Cry Throughout Scripture, we see that worship and praise are powerful expressions of faith. Before the circumstances change, before we see the breakthrough, and before we understand what God is doing, we can still worship Him because He is worthy. Worship becomes our battle cry because it declares that our confidence is not in what we see—it is in who God is. When fear says, “What are you going to do?” Worship says, “I trust the Lord.” When the enemy tries to overwhelm us, worship reminds our souls of the faithfulness of God. When we walk through the valley, worship declares that the Shepherd is still with us. As Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) reminds us: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” We don't have to understand everything to worship. We simply need to know Who we are worshiping. Scriptures Read During This Time of Worship Psalm 32 (NLT) — A beautiful reminder of forgiveness, confession, restoration, God's unfailing love, and the joy of belonging to Him. Psalm 142 (NLT) — David pours out his heart before the Lord in a time of distress. It reminds us that we can bring everything before God because He is our refuge. Psalm 144 (NLT) — David praises the Lord as the One who prepares him for battle, protects him, rescues him, and gives victory. Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) — Trust in the Lord completely rather than depending upon our own understanding. Psalm 23 (KJV) — The Lord is our Shepherd. Even when we walk through the darkest valley, we do not have to fear because He is with us. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1 (KJV) Praise Before the Breakthrough Sometimes worship is easy. Other times, worship is a sacrifice. There are moments when we worship while we are hurting. We praise while we are waiting. We lift our hands when we don't have the answers. We declare God's goodness while we are still walking through the valley. That is when worship becomes a powerful declaration: My circumstances do not determine whether God is worthy. My feelings do not determine whether God is faithful. My battle does not change who my God is. Jesus is still Lord. God is still faithful. His Word is still true. And He is still worthy of our worship. So today, come worship with us. Bring your burdens. Bring your thanksgiving. Bring your praise. Bring your whole heart and enter into the presence of Jesus. Let worship become your battle cry. Let praise rise above fear. Let your soul remember who God is.
