"Home" Nehemiah 7:5-73

Have you ever wondered why God would include genealogies in the the Bible? When we come to the genealogies, many of us tend to skip right over them to get back to the “important” parts of the Bible, not simply a list of names, But since all of Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, could it be that God has a powerful revelation for us in the genealogies? As we come to our passage this week, we see Nehemiah record a genealogy, originally given in Ezra 2, But why would he include it here? And what lesson did this give to the Jews and even to us for today? I look forward to unpacking this powerful passage with you Sunday.
