Returning to Northampton After All These Years! | parkrun

I'm back in Northampton! A place that means a lot to me, having spent part of my childhood here, and this time I'm returning for a bit of parkrun tourism! This is my fifth consecutive week visiting a different parkrun, as I continue exploring running communities, meeting new people and sharing their stories. For this week's adventure, we made a weekend of it with a hotel stay in Northampton before heading out for Saturday morning's 5K. I was joined by my friend Simon, who brought along his dog Tina, and even Jack got involved for a little bit! After parkrun, we headed into Northampton for a well-earned café breakfast before continuing our family adventure over in Milton Keynes, where we visited a Comic-Con-style event, saw a DeLorean and did a little shopping. I managed to pick up some winter running gear, while Emily came away with a rather large LEGO Harry Potter set! It was brilliant being back somewhere that holds so many memories for me, but also making some new ones through running. A massive thank you to all the Northampton parkrun volunteers who make these events possible every Saturday morning. And a shoutout to VOID Running for the T-shirt!
