Ironman California for 10/24/2021 Cancelled - Cyclone Bomb Storm

#triathlon #ironman #imcalifornia #safety Unfortunate that they have to cancel Ironman California...but this was the right call. A once in a blue moon cyclone bomb that hits the west coast this time of year with this intensity was going to make things rough for everyone. Just even stepping outside the hotel, it was soaking wet, windy, and cold - and competing in wet and cold conditions (without the wind) was already difficult. Now add 40-50 kph (~25 to 35 mph) wind gusts to the mix and that's a recipe for disaster somewhere. You can hear the wind and rain from the video - enough said. More to come soon.
