For anyone walking out of an oppressive religion or culture ... a song about freedom.

WELCOME TO HUMANITY by KT CANARY "This song is an extended hand to anyone walking out of a high-demand religion, culture, or cult. It is my way of honoring the courage it takes to deconstruct your faith and cleanse your soul of oppressive belief systems. Each line is meant to shine a light on the disorienting journey of stepping in to a freedom you have never before experienced. I have taken these trembling, cautious steps myself and I can’t forget the terror that accompanies the newness at each turn. I truly hope this song is a beacon and a balm for your own journey – a way for you to feel you are not walking alone." -KT Canary ________________________________________________ SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4NX0K... I know none of this is easy And it feels strange Just letting go completely And finally (finally) Breaking free (breaking free) Welcome to humanity Let’s get you off your knees. There’s no one here to serve No need to grovel or appease This is our own universe It’s okay now if you smile No, you don’t need a reason We don’t have to save our joy For any special season So, you can come as you are Flaws are fine, and so are scars All I see is a courageous heart Stepping out of a familiar dark And finally (finally) Breaking free (breaking free) Welcome to humanity Your mistakes were never crimes And sometimes life’s a mess So, you’re allowed to laugh When you’re not at your best So, welcome my dear friend Let me tell you one more truth You don’t need permission For anything you do ‘Cause you’re finally (finally) breaking free (breaking free) Welcome to humanity Stepping out of shame Is not a coward’s game You’re the hero, You’re the savior Not a sinner, not a failure You’re amazing. You’re enough A precious diamond in the rough Cover Art Design: KT Canary Original Lyrics: KT Canary Musical Arrangement/ Production: KT Canary | Suno Vocals: Suno Lyric Video Design: KT Canary © 2026 KT Canary.
