LIVE: Dismemberment in the Bay Murder Trial — FL v. Robert Kessler — Day 3

Robert Kessler is on trial for second-degree murder and abuse of a body in the death of Stephanie Crone-Overholts. After representing himself through jury selection, Kessler requested a lawyer and said he no longer wanted to attend the trial in person. Crone-Overholts’ partial remains were found in Tampa’s McKay Bay in November 2021. Investigators say she had been staying at Kessler’s home in Lutz before her disappearance. Police later found her blood in her vehicle and at his residence, while a witness reported seeing someone throw items into the bay around that time.
