Keep it going — 77 unbroken hours in one playlist:    • Meditation Music for Focus & Study — 作業・集中...   For mornings, the gentlest one I have made:    • ASA (Morning) 朝 | Japanese Morning Music f...   Thank you for being here. I made this to stay in the background — one unbroken hour to leave running while you work, study, or sit still. What is in it: eight instrumental pieces, joined so the changes pass without a break. A Japanese bamboo flute (shakuhachi) leads all the way through and stays in front, with a handpan resting far behind it, struck softly with the hands, a bowed cello holding long notes underneath and bright pads high above. There are no drums, no beat, and nothing builds to a climax. There is birdsong in this one — a blackbird far off for the whole hour, with a nightingale answering now and then — but no sound of water. The place it was made for is a stretch of rice fields on the morning of the autumn equinox: the fields cut and standing in rows of stubble, red lilies open along the path between them, a signpost where two paths meet, worn stone steps climbing to a small shrine on the hill, and a cat walking a little way ahead. SHUBUN — 秋分, the autumn equinox. It is the old Japanese name for the day when light and dark come out equal, and the only morning in the year when the sun rises due east. After it, the nights are the longer half. If it helps you work, study, or just sit quietly for a while, I'm glad. 央心 / Oushin — Japanese zen music for focus, calm and quiet moments. Subscribe if you'd like a new piece of calm now and then. #meditationmusic #shakuhachi #focusmusic
