A quick overview of the mobile C-arm — the X-ray imaging system used in the operating room during surgery.
Besides 2D radiography and fluoroscopy, some C-arms can also perform 3D imaging. These are called 3D C-arms, and the 3D imaging itself is known as C-arm CT, or cone-beam CT (CBCT).
The video covers what a mobile C-arm does, how its 3D imaging works, how C-arm CT compares with conventional CT, and how a 3D C-arm works with surgical navigation, robots, and navigation bronchoscopy.
