At a quiet junction high in the passes, she leaves one train behind and steps aboard another: the Volcano Express, ready to carry her toward a country few outsiders ever see. The Journey Beyond the last ridges of Mountain Nation lies the Volcano Region, a land where the earth is still awake, home to a people who never fled the fire but learned to live between the craters. Witness their towns of stone on the black slopes, and the great domed observatories still rising within cages of lamplit scaffolding, keeping watch on the night sky above the lava. Here, progress stayed beautiful. Old-world dignity travels beside patient robots and star-faring engines. At the final station, our traveler keeps an appointment with destiny.
