Farm Life From The Sidelines-My Lisfranc Injury and Recovery

This video is a little more personal than my usual farm videos. ❤️ A few months ago, a Lisfranc injury completely changed my everyday life. What started as an injury I hoped would heal on its own eventually led to surgery, months of being off my feet, pain, frustration, and a lot of learning to slow down — something that definitely doesn’t come naturally to me! In this video, I’m sharing a look at my Lisfranc recovery and the challenges of being unable to do the things I normally do around our small family farm. While I was recovering, life on the farm obviously didn’t stop. My husband and kids stepped in and carried the load of our normal farm routine, from caring for the animals to moving and introducing cows, while our family rallied around me in so many ways. Watching everything continue without me was both humbling and, at times, pretty entertaining. 😂 This was a season that reminded me just how much goes on behind the scenes to keep our little farm and family moving — and how fortunate I am to have people willing to step up when I can't.
