This video is a re-upload of a video I uploaded about a year ago that didn't encode to HDR - high dynamic range. It is now fully encoded into HDR. Most recent smartphones and Smart TVs will play it in full HDR; devices that do no support HDR will play it in SDR, standard dynamic range.
The video follows streamliner CLs CLF2 and CLP13 hauling SSR 2280 Boral Cement from Medway Junction to the Boral Cement Works at Maldon.
We also catch a shot of MRL002 and CLP9 leading SSR loaded Westons Grain up the grade through Bundanoon.
There's a bit of a back story to this video.
Most of the clips were shot on Thursday 16th October 2025 and while we were very happy with the video we felt it would be good to add a couple of extra locations to it.
However during the following week, CLP13 led 2280 on the midday trips to Maldon; so that wouldn't work.
Then on Monday 27th October, CLF2 was again leading CLP13, but the day was looking a little iffy, increasing cloud cover with the some showers possible; and with increasing showers for the rest of the week.
We decided to risk the weather, and while there were some cloudy skies, there was no rain and so we got the shots we wanted and also a shot of MRL002 and CLP9 leading loaded Westons 8140; three CLs on the day, and an MRL - but there was a catch.
The distinctive yellow CHOY wagons that had been on the front of the rake in our previous day's shooting were now on the rear.
So how do we include the new clips in the video; do we add them at the end in strict chronological order, or do we include them in location order as we had originally intended.
For better or worse, we've decided to include them in location. order, emulating a run up the line from Peppertree Quarry to the Maldon Cement Works. Hopefully the changing positions of the yellow CHOY wagons won't be too offputting.
Enjoy the video.
