Tristan Zaba - Mostly Harm. less (binaural/3d sound)

Must wear headphones for the surround effect! Mostly Harm. less sees an eight-part guitar ensemble placed around the audience to create an acoustic variety of 7.1 surround sound. Inspired by Robert Frippʼs Guitar Craft projects, the pieceʼs 7 nylon string guitars are paired with the diffused sound of a single electric guitar (the .1) to create an immersive ambient experience. This version of the piece has been mixed in binaural/3d sound to make it accessible to audiences at home. Video was premiered at, and made possible by, the 2021 21st Century Guitar Conference.
