We Took a Natural Building Course in Thailand With a Scorpion Surprise! 🦂

We’ve been wanting to learn more about natural building, so while we were in Chiang Rai, Thailand, we took a hands-on earth building course and absolutely loved it. 🌿 We learned how to make adobe bricks, mix cob, and work with natural materials to create strong, beautiful structures. We also got to tour different cob and natural homes and see how people are making the most of what’s already available — from bamboo and earth to bottles, reclaimed materials and pieces from old or deconstructed buildings. What really inspired us was the resourcefulness behind it all. Instead of always needing something new, natural building shows how much can be created by working with the land and making use of what we already have.
