Ya ikhwah, it was in one afternoon. It was after Ṣalāt al-ʿAṣr. He wrote it in one sitting. When we say Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is a genius, this is why. Shaykh al-Islam, it's unbelievable. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, those that studied under Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah like Ibn al-Qayyim and Ibn Kathīr and others, they say it is as if he is looking, the Qur'an is in front of his eyes. And when he's writing, it is as if he is looking at the Qur'an. You see how a computer is and how it can like, you know, search exactly where this eye is. It is as if the Qur'an, they say as if he sees the Qur'an in the hadith in front of him. This is how it was, how he was. They said Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, his eyes have never seen somebody more knowledgeable than him. Allāhu akbar, ya ikhwah. They say to the point they said in regards to Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, if the hadith is a hadith that he did not know, it is not a hadith. To that extent, yes, to that extent what the ulama have mentioned. The person, ya ikhwah, was a genius. And he has written this book in one sitting after ʿAṣr. Why did he write this book? This is an important question. This is an important question. Where, why did he write this book? And I talked about this in Taysīr al-Laṭīf al-Mannān years ago on Garden of Ilm. Because al-Qāḍī, the judge, Raḍī al-Dīn al-Wāsiṭī, he complained to Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in regards to how misguided people are in regards to this field of knowledge. So he asked him to write something in ʿaqīdah for him and his family. So Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, rahimahullah ta'ala excused himself. And he said, read what Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ wrote in regards to this. So Raḍī al-Dīn al-Wāsiṭī did what? He insisted upon Shaykh al-Islam to write. So Shaykh al-Islam wrote it. He said, raḥimallāhu al-Qāḍī, Raḍī al-Dīn. رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ رَحْمَةً وَاسِعَةً. May Allah have mercy on Raḍī al-Dīn. And Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, rahimahullah ta'ala. Why, ya ikhwah?
