A Classic NZ Winter Camping Experience - just my dog and I

Have you ever wanted to have an entire camping ground to yourself? My dog Indi and I headed out to Wooded Gully, in the South Island of New Zealand on a stormy winter afternoon, in search of just that. This classic Kiwi unserviced camping ground is tucked away at the base of Mt Thomas and a favourite for hikers and campers, but we got the whole place to ourselves. Join us for the setting up of camp, a walk through the bush, along a local track, relaxing with a cup of tea and a book, camp cooking, and breakfast alongside a river.
