The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want | Psalm 23 Sung with Harp for Peace

Psalm 23 is at the centre of this collection. It brings together sung settings of the Shepherd Psalm and other well-loved Psalms, carried by harp, soft strings and gentle voices for peace and quiet prayer. 🕊️ A tender soprano, a warm baritone, a clear tenor and a soft alto take turns with the lines and meet in harmony. A low voice half-speaks the chant, a small choir joins at the gentle swells, and there is no percussion. The lyrics are original paraphrases of the Psalms with a few brief Scripture quotations, so you can rest in the words of Psalm 23: green pastures, still waters, a restored soul, and goodness and mercy all your days. Alongside Psalm 23 you will hear songs from Psalms 121, 131, 100, 27, 30, 90 and 119, among others, each sharing the same trust in the Lord as your shepherd. The image of King David at the harp gives the channel its setting and invites you into the long tradition of praying the Psalms with music. Let Psalm 23 accompany your morning and evening prayer, your worship at home, quiet study, or any moment when an anxious or weary heart needs to be still. Above all, may these songs invite you to rest and sleep in the presence of God, trusting that the Lord is your shepherd and you shall not want. #psalm23 #psalms #worship #scripture #kingdavid #harp #peace #sleep #prayer #sungpsalms 🙏 Support this channel: https://ko-fi.com/shepherdkingpsalms Thank you for your prayers and support.
