Fast Steel Protection: Coloring Metal with Just Fire & Oil

Giving the hidden Japanese chisel knife handle a permanent purple gradient finish using heat and oil. In this video, I degrease the steel, carefully heat it with a torch to bring out temper colors (flame bluing), and seal the oxide layer with a smoking oil quench.
