Sunday Message Title || Our Relationship with Jesus Christ Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 1:12; Exodus 14:13 NKJV When Jesus Christ came to this earth, He came for a particular reason. He did not come because of sin alone. When sin came into the picture, it affected the relationship between man and God. Jesus came to restore the relationship between man and God. Sin was not the main reason. The Bible says there is only one mediator who can restore the relationship between God and man his name is Jesus Christ . When Adam committed sin, God’s desire was still to restore the relationship. God gave us commandments, including: “Love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Sin was the reason that was preventing and breaking the relationship between us and God. God’s focus is on having a relationship that must be formed between you and Him. The purpose is to restore our relationship with God. The foundation is that we must have a relationship with Him. The Bible shows us that when Hannah was praying to God, she prayed from her heart, and God answered her prayer in His own special way. Moses also had a unique relationship with God. The way we communicate with God may be different, because God speaks to each person in a unique way. The important thing is to have a sincere relationship with Him. When you have a relationship with God, you develop a special way of approaching Him. You do not have to copy what other people are doing because your relationship with God is personal. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. We must continue to communicate with God through prayer and remain faithful even when we face temptations and persecution. God wants us to communicate with Him, just as Moses did. When you are in a relationship with God, do not allow people’s opinions to take you away from Him.
