The Alien Warrior Hurled a Spear at Him, but He Caught It. Now, by Ancient Law, She Is His Forever

A stranded cargo pilot catches a blue-skinned warrior's ritual spear instead of dying beneath it—and an ancient law binds their lives together. This sci-fi story follows Kyle Reed after his ship crashes in Karren's lethal desert. With five crewmates missing, little water left, and two suns burning above him, Kyle leaves the wreck to search for help. Tazra, a Zeron warrior, sees an outsider crossing sacred dunes and throws the Challenge Cast at his heart. His trained reflexes save him, but the catch makes him her bonded companion: neither can ignore the other's danger. Their uneasy alliance leads through a world of shifting sand, hostile raiders, predators beneath the dunes, and a tribe divided by fear. Kyle needs to find his crew; Tazra must decide what her people's ancient oath will cost when their oasis faces a threat no one believes can be stopped.
