What Hotel Housekeepers Do in 8 Minutes That Takes You an Hour 📖 My book, The Turnover Method, with the 8-minute bathroom and all the cards: halinacleans.com/v02 In the hotel I had 4 minutes for a bathroom and a supervisor with a stopwatch in the doorway. Your bathroom takes you an hour, and it is not because you are slow. For most of my 4 minutes, two other things were cleaning that room with me: the white powder in the toilet bowl and the white powder on the shower floor. At home you spray, wait 4 seconds and scrub, so you are cleaning alone. THE CLOCK Minute zero, powder down. 2 heaping spoons of oxygen bleach powder in the toilet bowl. 2 more in a jug of the hottest tap water, poured across the shower floor. Then walk away from both. At 30 seconds, mirror and chrome. Blue microfiber, dry, top down. Never spray the mirror. Spray reaching the edge eats the silver backing and leaves a black edge that never comes out. At 2 minutes, the sink. Yellow cloth, hot water, one drop of dish soap. Wall, faucet base, basin, drain, rim, under the rim, then a corner of the cloth turned inside the overflow hole. At 3 and a half, the toilet. Red cloth, and it never touches anything else. Outside in: handle, tank, seat, hinges, rim, outside of the bowl, floor behind. The brush goes in last. At 5 minutes, the shower. Grout brush along the grain, bottom 3 feet of the walls, rinse top down, squeegee, dry the floor. At 6 and a half, the floor. Far corner to the door, damp, one drop of soap. At 8 minutes, the flashlight. Flat on the floor so the light rakes across it. It shows you everything you missed. THE NEVERS · Nothing else in the toilet bowl while the powder is in it. No bleach, no bowl cleaner. · No vinegar in the same session. It takes away the part of the powder that does the work. · Never spray a mirror. · Never flood a bathroom floor. · Gloves on, window open. The honest part: 8 minutes is a bathroom that is kept up. The very first reset takes 40 to 90 minutes. That is The First Turn, page 25 of the book. Do only the first 30 seconds tomorrow. Then tell me in the comments how long your bathroom takes you now, and how old your house is. I read them, kochanie. The Never Page is free at the same link: halinacleans.com/v02
