Generally speeak, my view, most north China villiages are not beautiful, even urgly. Many reasons: population density, dry enviroment and poverty. It's changing slowly. Current status is far better than 10,20 years. Hope every villiagers can keep clean, tidy. Most olds are left there, they donot want to move to new houses or apartment. it's their home, their land.
