Hey there, my little squids—up for a little relaxing break? No? Well, too bad for you then; I’m taking one anyway, hahaha. I’m continuing my series on the planets of our solar system, tackling the distant ice giants—starting with Uranus. Contrary to the twisted ideas I can read in your minds, Uranus doesn't get its name from your underpants, but rather from the sky; it’s named after the Roman God of the Sky (Uranus), a figure directly lifted from the Greek God of the Sky (Ouranos). *Fun fact: Ouranos (the Sky) mated with Gaia (the Earth) a long, long time ago, triggering earthquakes of indecent violence and giving birth to the Titans, followed by the Giants, the Cyclopes, and finally the Gods (Zeus, Poseidon, etc.). Anyway, that’s a story for another time; I actually created an "Industrial Hardcore" dawless live set project starring the Model:Cycles, inspired by one of Greek mythology's epic episodes: the mountain-hurling war between the Titans and the Gods—the famous Titanomachy.* Here’s the link to the full playlist (4 tracks):    • TITANOMACHY   Getting back to our planets: Uranus is an ice giant. It’s cold—really cold—with atmospheric temperatures hovering around -230 degrees and winds blowing at 900 km/h. Just a casual day out there. It inspired a piece of music that isn't actually all that cold, though it does have a bit of that FM synthesis vibe. I found the sound quite fluid—bouncy, even. I wouldn't go so far as to say it made me want to light up a fat joint, but it wasn't far off! So, there you have it... The Electribe runs the show here; it feeds into the Digitone’s left input to take advantage of its reverb and delay. Aside from that, the setup is super simple—nothing more than what you see here; everything is internal. Peace, make love not war—and hey, give Uranus a thought while you're at it, haha. Ah ben tant pis pour vous alors, moi j'en fais une en tout cas hahaha Je poursuis mon opus dédié aux planètes de notre système solaire, et je m'attaque aux géantes de glaces lointaines, en commençant par Uranus. Contrairement aux idées reçues tordues que je peux lire dans vos esprits, Uranus ne tire pas son nom de votre slip, mais plutôt du ciel puisque c'est le nom du Dieu Romain du Ciel (Uranus) qui est lui-même pompé directement sur le Dieu Grecque du Ciel (Ouranos). *pour la petite histoire Ouranos (le Ciel) s'est accouplé avec Gaïa (la Terre), il y a fort longtemps, ce qui créa des séismes d'une violence indécente et donna naissance aux Titans, puis aux Géants, aux Cyclopes et enfin aux Dieux (Zeus, Poséidon, etc...) Bref c'est une autre histoire, j'avais d'ailleurs réaliser un projet de live dawless orienté Hardcore Indus avec en vedette le Model:Cycles, inspiré par un des épisode épique de la mythologie Grecque, la guerre de lancer de montagnes entre les Titans et les Dieux, la fameuse Titanomachie.* Je vous laisse le lien de la playlist complète (4 morceaux) :    • TITANOMACHY   Pour revenir à nos planètes, Uranus est une planète géante de glace, elle est froide, très froide, son atmosphère avoisinne les -230 degrés, et il y a des vents soufflants à 900 km/h, tranquille quoi. Elle m'a inspiré une musique pourtant pas si froide que ça, mais un peu avec la synthèse FM. Je l'ai trouvé plutôt souple, et du genre rebondit même en fait. J'irai pas jusqu'à dire qu'elle m'a donné envie d'allumer un gros joint mais pas loin en fait ! Alors voilà.... L'Electribe est maître dans cette sauterie, et elle entre dans le Digitone 1 de gauche pour profiter de sa réverbe et son delay. Mais à part ça, c'est hyper simple comme config, rien de plus que ce qui est là, tout est interne.
