Kashif Din started renting out iPads in London in 2010. Seventeen years later, One World has its own offices in 13 countries, operational hubs in several more, and in August it became One World Group.
He's built all of it without outside investment, growing 25 to 30% a year.
We get into why he split staffing, logistics and printing out into businesses of their own, and why registering a company abroad is the easy bit. He talks about the year he spent living in Dubai to open the first overseas office, and why he was involved in hiring the first 200 or so people himself. He also explains when his team will tell a client they're wrong, and the printed packing manual that makes a box from Toronto look exactly like one from Singapore.
Kashif and One World have been partners of mine at Event Tech Live for nearly a decade, so this one's a proper founder-to-founder conversation.
