Seijaku - the stillness that remains after sound. On an early autumn night in a mountain temple, the crickets that filled the whole summer have thinned night by night, until tonight the last one sings a short phrase, and stops. Two hours of slow Japanese zen music for inner peace, deep meditation and healing: koto, shakuhachi flute and a warm low drone, with the small crackle of a lantern wick, old timbers creaking as the night cools, and a raked white sand garden holding the lamplight beyond the open screens. Recorded as one long unbroken night in which the quiet slowly outlasts every sound. Use this for meditation and mindfulness practice, for inner peace, stress relief, yoga, deep focus, or studying. It also works as gentle sleep music if you leave it playing. Tracks in this session - six original pieces, looping for two hours: 1. The Last Cricket of the Season 2. The Wick Speaks Once 3. The Hall and the Night Take Turns 4. Old Timbers Settling in the Cold 5. Raked Sand, Empty and Complete 6. The Quiet Outlasts the Lamp Two hours of Japanese zen ambient music for inner peace, deep meditation, healing and deep relaxation.
