Ouchi-juku at 6:06 AM — Rain Walk in a Thatched-Roof Village | Fukushima, Japan [4K60 Binaural]

At 6:06 AM, before the day's visitors arrived, I began this uncut morning rain walk through Ouchi-juku, a historic thatched-roof village in Shimogo, Fukushima. Rainfall was around 3 mm/h during this 34-minute walk. There was almost no foot traffic, apart from a brief glimpse of someone in the distance. At this quiet early hour, the village's old streets and distinctive rooftops set the scene for a slow walk in the rain. Recorded in 4K at 60fps with binaural audio, this walk captures the scenery and real sounds of an early morning in rural Japan. No talking. No music. Just real ambient sound. No AI-generated sound — real rain, recorded on location. Ouchi-juku developed as a post town during the Edo period, serving travelers on the historic route between Aizu-Wakamatsu and Imaichi, now part of Nikko. Its thatched-roof houses preserve the character of the old town. This is still a living community, where many buildings serve as both homes and shops. This walk also adds another piece to my rainy journey from Nikko to Aizu.
