Geologists Just Found Out What Turkey’s Noah’s Ark Site Actually Is A drill rig spent this season boring more than sixty feet into a boat shaped hill 29 kilometres south of Mount Ararat, and the samples are still sitting in labs in Ankara untested. In this one I go through what that hill actually is, and the part nobody mentions is that a team blew it open with dynamite in 1960 and found soil and rocks. No timber, no iron, nothing. I will be honest about where I land on this, the detail that settles it for me is that the man who spent nine years championing the site, David Fasold, co-wrote the paper calling it bogus, and creationist geologists who believe the flood happened looked at the same hill and said it was natural. The radar engineer behind this year's boldest claim says he is 100 percent sure of one object and also says he has no idea what it is. And the headline calling the ark real came out in June, before a single core was drilled.
