A Kangaroo Mother Gives Birth to a 1-Gram Baby… It Must Reach Her Pouch | 4K Wildlife Documentary

On the red plains of Australia, a kangaroo mother gives birth to a baby smaller than a jellybean. He weighs about a gram. He is blind and hairless, his back legs are only buds, and he must climb alone through her fur to reach her pouch. She cannot help him. If he makes it, that is only the beginning: 235 days in her pouch, a summer that can kill, a drought, and dingoes that hunt the young. This is his first year, and hers.
