What do Scottish People Think About Food? | June 2026

Since 2020, the Food Standards Agency has been running the Food and You 2 survey in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, measuring consumers’ self-reported knowledge, attitudes and behaviours related to food safety and other food topics. In 2023, for the first time, a sample of respondents in Scotland was included in partnership with Food Standards Scotland (FSS). Dr Sue Bond, Principal Social Researcher at FSS, will outline the background and purpose of the survey as carried out in Scotland, some key findings from the latest Wave, which are published in the ‘Food and You 2 Survey Wave 11 Scotland Key Findings Report’, and the future of the survey in Scotland.
