Railfanning Three Boston Area Rail Lines

On Monday, August 24, 2026, I did a brief survey of three Boston area passenger lines. First up was the Old Colony service to Fall River and New Bedford. A short drive to Attleboro put me on the Northeast Corridor for Amtrak and MBTA action. I drove another hour to Framingham hoping to find one of the MBTA's Heritage Units leading a commuter train on the Boston & Albany. While in Framingham I caught a CSX switch crew working North Yard next to the passenger station. I recorded them kicking cars into position, a first for me.
