Summer Railfanning Journey Day 4 (July 2025)

Back in July, I went to Washington DC to railfan on multiple days. This is a compilation of railfanning clips from the fourth day at Union Station. This video features trains from Amtrak, MARC, VRE, WMATA and even CSX. Enjoy Now some might notice I go to and from Union Station's Metro station. This is so I can go see the schedule of arrivals and departures from Union Station. However, the schedule only showed the upcoming trains for 1-2 hours, and I have to return every now and then to see the updated schedule. 2:55 Starting off strong, I managed to catch and chase MARC HHP-8 #4915 at NoMa Gallaudet, which was heading towards Union Station. 5:18 VRE Commuter train exits Union Station, bound for Ivy City railyard. 7:46 3 MARC MP36PH-3Cs #12, #20, and #19 exit Union Station bound for Ivy City railyard. 12:48 MARC Penn Line Train #423 enters Union Station with MARC Cab car #8048 leading and MP36PH-3C #27 trailing. 14:49 MARC MP36PH-3C #11 exits Union Station with Penn Line Train #416 bound for Baltimore Penn. Cab car #8049 was trailing. 18:52 ACS-64 #664 exits Union Station with Northeast Regional Train #114 (not #174) bound for New York. ACS-64 #606 was pushing at the rear. 22:10 Chasing Train #79, the Carolinian, into Union Station; led by ACS-64 #607. 25:32 MARC Penn Line Train #525 enters Union Station with MARC MP36PH-3C #26 trailing. 25:53 I just managed to catch the tail end of Northeast Regional Train #174 bound for Boston. By coincidence, ‪@harrisonofcolorado8886‬ was on this train while on his trip to the Northeast Corridor and B&O Railroad Museum (go check him out and sub to his channel). 26:13 First time catching a WMATA Money Train.
