Anthony Lawrence, Founder and CEO of Light Rider, argued that one of the most immediately useful outputs of today’s quantum systems is also one of the simplest: randomness.
At Quantum World Congress 2026, Lawrence explained how Light Rider is turning quantum entropy into software-accessible random numbers for cryptography and experimenting with quantum-sourced randomness as an ingredient in synthetic data for AI. His larger argument: quantum computing does not have to wait for fault-tolerant applications to create value if developers can productize capabilities current hardware already performs well.
