In the fourth part of our recap of the entire Gears of War franchise, we covered the events of Gears of War 2. Here in part 5, we are going to move on to events of Gears of War 3 and Gears Judgment Aftermath. What do you do after effectively ruining the world? And I don't mean figuratively shattering it into an infinite number of pieces. I mean rendering it inhospitable for everyone, all to destroy your enemy. It's not really your fault. War was at your doorstep, and the enemy would have done it first. Then there's the enemy of your enemy, who's far from a friend, and who knows what they're thinking? By all accounts, the only choice left is the most obvious, even if it means destroying the last stronghold of humankind. One more weight on the COG's guilty conscience, another tragedy for Sera to remember as it inches ever closer to annihilation.
