K-Pop Super Group Stray Kids Skips The Grammys

Stray Kids is skipping the 2027 Grammys, joining BTS. Their label, JYP Entertainment, says the group submitted no music. It comes amid backlash over the new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category. BTS passed back in July, holding back "ARIRANG" despite three weeks at No. 1. Its reason: no splitting awards by region or language. The Recording Academy says the category adds recognition, not division. And it's not backing down. Stray Kids doesn't need the trophy. Two No. 1 albums and a Top 40 hit this year. This segment aired on October 6,2026, and features CNN Anchors Brianna Keilar, Boris Sanchez and Jeff Benjamin K-POP Columnist for Billboard. #straykids #grammys #btsarmy
