Finding Beauty in a Rainy Night at Marina Bay

They say a rainy day is a lost day for photography, but since resetting my pace of life at 50, I’ve learned that the most beautiful moments happen when plans go out the window. In this video, we head down to Marina Bay to catch the spectacular light installations of i Light Singapore 2026—right as a heavy tropical downpour begins. Instead of packing up and heading home, I decided to slow down, lean into the atmosphere, and see how the reflections of the city lights look on the wet pavement. Armed with just my insta360 x5 and Oppo find x9 Ultra, this turned into a deeply peaceful, cinematic night walk through one of Singapore's most iconic districts. It’s a reminder that even when life throws unexpected weather your way, you can still find incredible beauty if you're willing to change your perspective.
