Welcome back to African Village Family Life ❤️ Today is another beautiful and heartwarming day with Ebere, Grandma, and the children as they come together to prepare a delicious traditional family lunch. The day begins with Ebere and her mother-in-law, Grandma, having a lovely conversation before Ebere heads into the kitchen to prepare lunch. This time, she is making something special — delicious coconut jollof rice using fresh coconuts! 🥥🍚 Ebere brings out all the ingredients and introduces the meal before Ada helps prepare the fire. While Ebere begins boiling the rice, Ada slices fresh tomatoes and Grandma stays close by to help. One of the most beautiful moments comes when Ebere begins cracking fresh coconuts. Grandma shows her the proper way to do it and reminds her to be careful with the knife. After cracking the coconuts, Ebere washes and shreds them using a traditional local tool before extracting the fresh coconut milk. The children also get involved. Ada helps with the tomatoes and onions, while Chibueze returns from an errand and joins everyone in the kitchen. Chibuike and Ada pound fresh pepper together using a traditional mortar and pestle, while Chibueze carefully plucks fresh curry leaves. But this day isn’t only about cooking. While the food is being prepared, Grandma brings out old family photographs, including beautiful memories of her children and Ebere’s wedding day. Ebere and the children gather around to look through the old pictures, creating a beautiful moment filled with memories, laughter, and family stories. ❤️ Back in the kitchen, Ebere continues preparing the coconut jollof rice. She fries onions and tomatoes in oil, adds the freshly extracted coconut milk, pepper, seasonings and other ingredients, before finally adding the parboiled rice. Meanwhile, village life continues around them. Chibuike climbs a guava tree to pick fresh guavas for his siblings, while Chibueze and Edu grind corn in the backyard for Ebere. After all the hard work, the coconut jollof rice is finally ready! 🍚🥥🔥 Ebere dishes the delicious meal into a large tray, and the family gathers around the table to eat together. Just as they begin enjoying the meal, Ifeoma and Mr. Okeke return home. Ifeoma joins the family and enjoys the meal with everyone, while Mr. Okeke, who has just returned from the farm, goes to have his bath. This is more than just a cooking video. ❤️ It’s a beautiful look at African village family life, traditional cooking, family memories, children learning from their elders, and the simple joy of eating together.
