DEEP SKY GUIDE: Messier 66 & Leo Triplet | How to Image & Observe M65, M66, and NGC 3628 Galaxies

This April we are well into Galaxy Season so there is a wonderful amount of 'faint fuzzies' to observe. In this video I will look at one of the best targets to observe in the Spring sky,Messier 65, Messier 66 and NGC 3628, The Leo Triplet, a beautiful trio of galaxies in close proximity to each other in the constellation of Leo the Lion. Messier 66 Group is another name for this target and it has been observed for many years dating back to the discovery of M65 and M66 by Charles Messier. and then William Herschel's discovery of NGC 3628 to finalize the trio we know today. Visual observing Them these three spiral galaxies are easy once you locate it and rewarding with this target as it is a great test of seeing conditions, and you can really tease out detail as you get familiar with it over the months of Spring. I hope that these videos can give you an idea of how the night sky can look at the eyepiece of a 200 PDS, 200p, 300p flextube or any 200mm 8 inch or 300mm 12 inch reflector telescope and using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
