Ford Now Sells Just ONE Car in America — Here's WHY

Ford sells exactly one car in America today: the Mustang. Walk into a Ford dealer and ask for the cheapest new vehicle they have, and you'll be walked to a pickup truck - the Maverick, under $30,000. In August 2026 the average new full-size pickup cost about $67,000 before rebates, according to Kelley Blue Book. It happened in a single sentence. In April 2018, Ford told investors it would not invest in the next generation of its traditional sedans for North America. The Focus went in 2018, the Taurus and the Fiesta in 2019, the last Fusion in the summer of 2020. The Taurus had once saved the company. Fiat Chrysler had already dropped the Dodge Dart and the Chrysler 200 in 2016, and seven months after Ford, General Motors named six cars on the way out, from the Cruze to the Impala.
