Ratana Sutra Part 7. Merely being born in every time or everywhere does not give merit. Those times and occasions can be stated as follows. 1. Hell (Time of born in Hell) 2. Thirisan Yoni (Time of born as Animal birth) 3. Pretha Shyaya (Time of born as Pretha) 4. Longevity Divine Sect (time to come to existence with only body without mind) 5. The time of being born in remote areas (the time of being born in a land where Buddhas and disciples are not present) 6. Being a fool (good, unable to understand evil, time of being a fool) 7. Delusion (period of delusion) 8. Being a period of ignorance (the time when no Buddha was born) It is a difficult task to get an understanding of the Dharma in any of these eight times. The specialty of these times is that there is no suitable environment for living a celibate life. It is mostly said that it is not possible to do merit due to lack of mental level and such background to understand the four truths. For that, a good environment will not be built in both the internal and external sectors. These eight times and periods are known as Ashta Dushtakshana. The reason for this is that there is no space for such a charity even if it is a kind of meditation meditation.
