Os du Randt won the Rugby World Cup in 1995 and again in 2007. But the toughest opponent he ever faced was not an All Black or a British & Irish Lion. This documentary looks at the five toughest props Os du Randt faced, from Julian White at Twickenham to an unknown Free State prop who left him bleeding in training.
Os du Randt finished his Springbok career with 80 caps and two World Cup medals, and he is a World Rugby Hall of Fame loosehead prop. Yet the front row kept finding ways to test him. This video follows the scrum battles that made Os work harder than expected: Patricio Noriega of Argentina, Paul Wallace of the 1997 British & Irish Lions, Olo Brown of the 1995 All Blacks, Julian White of England, and Dougie Heymans, the man Os himself identified as the toughest of all.
It is a story about scrum technique over strength, about how a tight five works as one unit, and about the lessons that stay with a Springbok legend long after the trophies.
Featured in this video: Os du Randt, Dougie Heymans, Julian White, Olo Brown, Paul Wallace, Patricio Noriega, the Springboks, the British & Irish Lions, the All Blacks, England and Argentina.
