Jakarta walking tour — through Bundaran HI and the golden triangle district, the gleaming commercial heart of Indonesia's capital where luxury malls, five star hotels and glass towers surround the iconic Hotel Indonesia roundabout fountain. This is a completely different Jakarta from the one most people imagine — wide boulevards, manicured public spaces, and the kind of urban polish that puts many Western capitals to shame. Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia anchor either side of the roundabout, two of the largest and most upmarket shopping centres in Southeast Asia. The streets around them are walkable, clean and busy with Jakarta's wealthy middle class — office workers, shoppers, couples on the wide pavements that run alongside the TransJakarta busway. The contrast between this district and the rest of the city is one of the most extreme wealth gaps visible on foot anywhere in Asia. Jakarta (Jakarta) is the capital of Indonesia and one of the most populous urban agglomerations on earth, with a greater metropolitan population of around 34 million people — making it the second largest urban area in the world after Tokyo. The city serves as Indonesia's political, economic, and cultural capital, generating around 17% of the country's GDP despite occupying a tiny fraction of its land area. Bundaran HI — the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout — has been the symbolic centre of modern Jakarta since the 1960s when it was built for the 1962 Asian Games, and its Welcome Statue fountain remains one of the city's most recognised landmarks. #jakarta #indonesia #walkingtour #4khdr Jakarta walking tour, Bundaran HI Jakarta, Jakarta Indonesia, Jakarta 4K HDR, Indonesia walking tour, Jakarta golden triangle, Grand Indonesia mall, Jakarta posh district, Indonesia travel, Jakarta city walk
