2026 Blind Football championship| Inclusive Sport | Health and opportunity

The 2026 Blind Football championship brought together people particularly those with visual impairments, adolescent girls and boys and communities around Makerere University for a day of inclusive sport, participation and health education. Held on 5th September 2026 at Makerere University Rugby ground, the championship was organized by Blind Football Uganda in partnership with Golden Boots. Alongside Football, Golden Boots peer coaches , The AIDS Support Organization {TASO} and Reproductive Health Uganda provided SRHR services to more than 200 people including: Sexual Reproductive education HIV testing Pre and Post HIV counselling Linkage to care and support The championship demonstrated how sport can create opportunities for young people with disabilities while acting as a space for accessing health information. #GoldenBoots #BlindFootballUganda #inclusivesport #disabilityinclusion #sportforall
