Her Mother Sent Her Upstairs Before the Duke Arrived—He Noticed the Empty Place at Dinner

Her mother sent her upstairs before the Duke arrived—but one empty place at dinner made him realize someone was being deliberately hidden. In this Regency romance audio drama, a quiet wallflower who refuses to be arranged for anyone catches the attention of a reserved Duke, beginning a slow burn romance built on respect, choice, and the courage to be seen. Eleanor Whitmore has spent years being treated as the inconvenient daughter, while her younger sister Caroline is prepared for an advantageous match with Nathaniel Blackwood, Duke of Ashbourne. But when Nathaniel notices the missing place at the dinner table, his curiosity leads him to the woman he was never supposed to meet—and to troubling secrets surrounding Hawthorne House, its debts, and the man controlling them. This historical romance audio drama blends aristocratic society, family pressure, estate secrets, emotional tension, quiet strength, and an unexpected Duke romance. Rather than a simple marriage of convenience, Eleanor and Nathaniel must discover whether love can truly be chosen when money, duty, and family expectations are trying to choose for them.
